My approach to therapy is rooted in mindfulness and the Buddhist teaching of approaching ourselves and our environment with curiosity, rather than judgment—a perspective known as a 'beginner’s mind.' By embracing this mindset, we can cultivate resilience and emotional flexibility, fostering a more compassionate relationship with ourselves. I also believe in the importance of challenging rigid, habitual beliefs or behaviors that may have become maladaptive in your life. Additionally, I value the powerful bond between humans and animals and its potential for healing. When appropriate, I incorporate animal-assisted therapy into sessions to support the healing of complex trauma
